Book One. From the time Zax could remember, his parents had refused to let him come in contact with high-tech—even at school. According to other kids, he was “not up to date.” No one wanted to be his friend. Then a new girl showed up in school, and, in a desperate attempt to finally have a friend, he decided to defy his parents’ longstanding rule. She offered him her phone, and he took it. Suddenly he felt the presence of a strange new sensation deep inside his consciousness—the sensation of power. It was derived from pure energy. And immediately, the world as he knew it changed forever.
Book Two. Deep on the edge of the milky way is a white hole, a singularity in a region of space-time. Nothing from the outside can enter this singularity, but energy-matter and light can escape. Within this specific white hole exists a vast source of pure energy emitting a continuous, extremely small amount—practically hair-thin—into space. But this energy is the farthest thing from light or purity; it is dark and can only be described as evil itself.
